Fintech Firm Perfios Acquires Fraud Detection Platform CustomerXPs

Perfios, a company that provides software services to banks and financial firms, has acquired CustomerXPs, the company behind the fraud detection platform Clari5.

Perfios didn’t share any financial details. Sabyasachi Goswami, Perfios' CEO told that the entire Clari5 team will join Perfios.

After the acquisition, Clari5 will become a fully owned part of Perfios, which currently has about 1,500 employees. The Clari5 leadership team will continue to run the company independently within the group.

"The acquisition of Clari5 marks a significant milestone in our journey to build a comprehensive fraud and risk management ecosystem. Clari5’s real-time financial crime management platform complements Perfios’ mission to provide secure and scalable solutions," Perfios CEO Sabyasachi Goswami said.

“This partnership enables us to expand our reach, accelerate product innovation, and strengthen our ability to help financial institutions combat financial crime with unmatched speed and precision.” Clari5 CEO Rivi Varghese said.

Founded in 2006, Clari5 offers various solutions to banks, including fraud management, anti-money laundering, alert management services, payment fraud reporting, customer checks, identity verification, and loan tracking.

Clari5 has raised about $3.9 million in funding since it started. In FY24, Clari5 made a net profit of Rs 3.4 crore and had a revenue of Rs 76.5 crore.
