DroneAcharya Partners with Volatus Aerospace to Boost India’s Drone Ecosystem

Listed drone solutions provider DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations has announced a strategic partnership with Canada-based Volatus Aerospace to manufacture drones in India. 

As part of the collaboration, DroneAcharya will supply its First-Person View (FPV) drone technology and room intervention solutions, while benefiting from Volatus Aerospace's proprietary logistics platform and advanced cargo delivery systems.

A key highlight of this partnership is the Condor heavy-payload logistics drone, capable of carrying up to 180 kg. The Condor is poised to transform drone-enabled cargo delivery in India. 

DroneAcharya will lead the business development efforts, including client engagement and tender submissions, while Volatus Aerospace will serve as the technology partner, offering demonstrations and technical support.

Founded in 1987, Volatus Aerospace provides aerial solutions across multiple sectors, with a presence in the US, Canada, Brazil, and the Middle East. It is publicly listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada and the Frankfurt Exchange in Germany.

DroneAcharya’s partnership announcement follows its recent entry into the Middle East market through its Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary Drone Entry Aerial Services LLC where it holds a 99% stake. This entity focuses on drone-based services, including aerial surveys, sales, leasing and inspections.

Earlier this year, DroneAcharya secured an exclusive contract with ISR drone builder Krattworks for localized production and distribution in India. However, the company has faced challenges, reporting a 62.1% drop in profit in H1 FY25, despite a 28.8% increase in revenue. 

DroneAcharya’s shares gained 2.30%, closing at INR 122.50 per share during Wednesday's trading session.
