ERGO Group AG has partnered with CamCom Technologies, a deeptech company from Bengaluru, India. Through this partnership, CamCom will become the main tech provider for ERGO’s AI-based visual inspection services in Europe.

The partnership between ERGO and CamCom is starting in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In these countries, they’ve launched a new AI-powered pre-inspection tool for motor and homeowners’ insurance.

Now, people looking to buy insurance from ERGO can simply use their smartphone to take photos of their car or home and upload them through CamCom’s web app. This helps document any existing damage, so it can be excluded from future claims. CamCom’s AI checks the photos to detect the type, location, and severity of any damage and ensures the images are real.

ERGO also plans to gradually roll out this technology in other European countries where it operates.

Mark Klein, Chief Digital Officer and Member of the Board of Management, ERGO Group AG said, “Together, we aim to simplify and digitise insurance experiences for our customers’ workflows, helping validate the platform’s robustness, accuracy, and scale in real-world applications. The partnership with ERGO Group AG signals the success and maturity of this collaboration.”

About CamCom

Founded in 2017 and based in Bengaluru, CamCom has built an AI-powered Large Vision Model that detects defects and damage on surfaces. It lets insurance customers take and upload photos of their vehicles or properties using a smartphone for quick and reliable pre-inspection and damage checks.

The startup says this approach cuts down on guesswork, boosts efficiency, and makes the process more transparent for both insurers and customers.
