Andhra Pradesh to Leverage AI for Efficient Governance and Public Services

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to leverage artificial intelligence to improve administrative efficiency, as announced by K Dinesh Kumar, CEO of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS), during an AI workshop at google’s office in New Delhi. 

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu aims to use AI to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in governance, simplifying public service delivery and removing bureaucratic obstacles. 

Kumar highlighted that AI would play a pivotal role in transforming government operations and the state recently signed a partnership agreement with Google to explore AI applications within government departments. As part of this collaboration, Google hosted a workshop to discuss AI use cases and integration. As per reported by The Economic Times.

Kumar shared insights on AI’s potential to revolutionize government functions with Google executives. He also mentioned that Andhra Pradesh’s IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, envisions a unified search bar for citizens to easily access all government services. 

Furthermore, the TDP led NDA government is exploring the development of its own version of ChatGPT and utilizing blockchain technology to streamline the issuance of essential certificates like birth, death, caste, income, residence and educational qualifications through digital services.

The state’s IT department is actively pushing forward with these innovations in collaboration with Google to make these plans a reality.
