Amit Singh, CEO of Adani Green Energy, will step down to lead the Adani Group's international energy business, the company announced on Monday. Ashish Khanna, the current CEO of the international energy division, will take over as CEO of Adani Green Energy starting April 1.
Singh, who was appointed CEO in May 2023, previously worked as a director at SLB, an oilfield services company.
This change comes a month after US authorities accused Gautam Adani and some top executives of Adani Green of being involved in a $265 million bribery scheme to secure Indian power supply contracts. The Adani Group has denied the charges, calling them "baseless."
