Amazon India plans to launch its quick commerce service, codenamed ‘Tez,’ by late December or early next year. The booming sector, led by Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart, generated $5.5-6 billion in sales this month.
Initially set for early 2025, Amazon has sped up its timeline to enter India’s fastest-growing e-commerce segment, where it currently lacks a presence. The launch of ‘Tez’ will also mark Amazon’s first global entry into quick commerce.
The plan for Amazon's quick commerce service will be reviewed in early December, just before its annual Smbhav event.
