[Funding alert] Sportstech Platform SportVot Secures INR 9.4 Cr Funding From Omidyar Network, Others

Leading the Series A investment round, Omidyar Network India-led sports-tech firm SportVot has secured Rs 9.4 crore. Along with current investors Capital A, Ankur Capital, Sucseed Indovation Fund, Marwah Sports, Anicut Capital, StartupLynk, and Ventana Ventures also took part in the investment round.

With the additional funding, the firm plans to develop SportVot’s commercial and technology solutions to increase engagement with sports in India, as reported by The Economic Times.

SportVot’s cofounder Sidhhant Agarwal, said, “With this substantial investment, we aim to expand our technology and product offerings, not just within India but also internationally. Our goal is to make sports and advanced sports technology accessible to the millions of athletes and sports organisations across India and beyond.”

SportVot’s unique media technology makes local sports streaming easier, cheap, and accessible to the sports ecosystem, called the SportVot Broadcasting Suite.
