Ritesh Khosla has been appointed as the new General Counsel of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) with effect from September 1, 2024. He succeeds Ashok Nambissan, who is retiring after a distinguished tenure with the company.
In January 2008, he assumed the position of Manager of Legal at SPNI. He was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Manager – Legal, a position he held from April 2009 to March 2010.
Subsequently, he served as Assistant Vice President -- Legals from April 2010 to March 2012 and as Vice President of Legals from April 2012 to March 2015. He was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Legal in 2015 and subsequently served as EVP and Deputy General Counsel from April 2019 to October 2021.
Ritesh Khosla was promoted to the positions of EVP, Deputy General Counsel, and Head of Standards and Practices in 2021. Before joining SPNI, Khosla was a practicing lawyer at a law firm. He has since progressed to the position of Deputy General Counsel, a position he has held for the past six years.

His area of expertise encompasses complex litigation, intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and enforcement, regulatory frameworks, compliance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with more than two decades of experience.
He will be responsible for the Corporate Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Secretarial, and Standards and Practices functions of SPNI in his new position. He will function as the company's Ombudsperson, manage the company's legal risks, and provide legal guidance and risks. He will be directly accountable to the Managing Director and CEO of SPNI.
