[Funding News] Smartworks Raises Rs 100 Cr Funding from Ananta Capital

Ananta Capital-led group of investors has contributed almost Rs 100 crore to managed workspace provider Smartworks.

According to the company's MCA filings, participants in the investment round included Lend Lease, Plutus Capital, Dhawan Family Private Trust, Kili Ventures LLP, Anand Dalmia, and Stargazer Fund-1, among others.

The board of Smartworks approved the issuance of 3,716,551 equity shares at a price of Rs 269 per share, with a face value of Rs 10.

During a Series A round in 2019, the domestic provider of shared office space raised $25 million in capital from Keppel Land.

According to its estimates, Smartworks has grown to occupy more than 8 million square feet spread over more than 40 facilities in 14 cities. The business states that it works with more than 600 organizations, including multinational corporations and Forbes 2000/Fortune 500 companies.

Smartwork joined the Pune market by renting a 14-story skyscraper in the Balewadi neighborhood. 8,000 desks are anticipated to fit in the building.
