Shoffr, a Bengaluru-based startup that provides airport transfers and hourly rentals, has secured $1.1 million from more than 100 clients.

This is Shoffr's first fundraise, after having bootstrapped for 15 months to 75 cars, profitability, and $1.5+ million ARR with less than ₹50 lakhs of equity capital.

"Any fundraise is a nice vote of confidence for founders. But for Kislay and me, being able to do this from our paying customers is the strongest affirmation we could've asked for," said Vikas Bardia, CFA, Shoffr.

Shoffr is neither just a "dhandha" nor just a start-up - it's an attempt to take the best of both and build a new-age business. We've been unconventional in our choices from the beginning - entering a competitive space, using a then unknown car, spending zero on marketing, and focusing on sustainable growth. How we've structured this fundraise is yet another example, he added.

About Shoffr

Shoffr started in November 2022 when Vikas Bardia and Kislay Verma came together to redefine taxi services in Bangalore. With a vision of setting the gold standard for cab rides, Shoffr was born.
