Early-stage venture-capital firm Info Edge Ventures has invested $2.5 million in cross-border logistics company ShipGlobal. With the funding raised, the logistics company hopes to open warehouses in select destination nations, including the US, and boost businesses to Australia and West Asia.

ShipGlobal provides support to Indian small and medium-sized retailers, with a particular emphasis on E-Commerce-Sites like Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy. Currently, the company ships supplies to the US, Canada, and the EU and works with 15,000 Indian sellers.

Along with expanding its seller base outside of metro areas and Tier 1 cities, the funding are also to be utilized to enhance the company's technology.
