Venkat Kotla has joined Securonix, Inc., a pioneer in Unified Defence SIEM, as Chief Technology Officer.

To meet the increasing demand for the company’s Unified Defence SIEM platform, Kotla’s responsibilities in this position include managing and growing the engineering function of the business and cultivating alliances with top technology companies.

Kotla has led technical innovation at global organisations for over 25 years at world-class enterprise software firms. His last job was Vice President and Head of Engineering for Economy BU at Atlassian, a leader in Jira, Confluence, and Trello. Kotla helped the Economy line of business develop to over $500 million ARR, making multinational organisations more agile, innovative, and aligned with the marketplace, ecosystem, partnerships, distribution, and commerce billing platform.

Kotla led senior engineering at Google for 14 years before joining Atlassian. He was Senior Director of Engineering for Google Assistant and Google Looker, a multi-cloud corporate SaaS for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics, for almost three years.
