SBI General Insurance Appoints Udayan Joshi as Chief Technical and Claims Officer

Mr. Udayan Joshi has been appointed as the Chief Technical & Claims Officer by SBI General Insurance, one of the top general insurers in India.

Mr. Joshi will be instrumental in developing and carrying out strategic underwriting and reinsurance activities that guarantee long-term profitability in his new capacity. In addition, he will oversee the Claims department, whose goal is to provide clients with the easiest, most hassle-free claim services possible.

Mr. Joshi is an accomplished BFSI specialist with nearly twenty years of broad expertise in the insurance sector. Mr. Joshi had important positions at ICICI Lombard and Liberty General Insurance before taking on his current position at SBI General Insurance. His broad expertise encompasses a range of roles in the general insurance industry, where he has made significant contributions in operations, customer experience, reinsurance, claims management, underwriting, and pricing.

Mr. Joshi is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAI) and company secretary (ICSI), with a graduate degree in commerce. His expertise in the industry is further demonstrated by his post-qualification specialisation in Insurance & Risk Management from ICAI.

The appointment of Mr. Joshi coincides with SBI General Insurance's current emphasis on enhancing its technical and claims capacities in order to better support its stakeholders and clients. His experience and foresight will be essential in guiding the business's strategic plans and guaranteeing its continuous expansion and prosperity.
