Insight Partners led the $12 million (about Rs 96 crore) funding round for Devtron Inc, an open-source internal DevOps platform that makes Kubernetes adoption more accessible. Leo Capital and undisclosed angel investors also participated.
The business will make use of the additional funding to grow its staff, promote platform usage, and enter new markets, as per reported by VCCircle.
Devtron offers a low-code software delivery platform for Kubernetes built on well-known open-source tools like Argo and Clair. It was founded in 2019 by Prashant Ghildiyal, Nishant Kumar, and Rajesh Razdan.

“Since becoming open source, we have seen thousands of nimble startups across the globe installing Devtron every month along with many fast-growing startups as our commercial customers. It’s an exciting time of growth and development of our market-defining product,” Ghildiyal and Razdan said in a joint statement.
Among other CI/CD workflow functions, the platform includes cluster provisioning, application management, and security.
According to Devtron, it collaborates with Indian businesses like Delhivery, BharatPe, and Blinkit.

It claims that businesses have been able to cut the time it takes to reach Kubernetes maturity from a year to months with the Devtron. Companies with more than 50 microservices have occasionally onboarded Kubernetes in under 15 days.
