Rolls-Royce and TCS Collaborates on Hydrogen Research Programme

Tata Consultancy Services, an Indian technology business, has broadened its collaboration with Rolls-Royce, a British multinational that specialises in civil aerospace, defense aerospace, services, and power systems, in order to further its sustainable efforts.

The collaboration entails doing research on hydrogen fuel system technology, with the aim of further substantiating hydrogen's potential as a zero-carbon aviation fuel in the future.

TCS has announced its commitment to offer engineering expertise and assistance to Rolls-Royce in tackling three crucial obstacles in the process of implementing hydrogen as a viable fuel source for aviation. These problems include optimizing fuel combustion, enhancing fuel delivery mechanisms, and integrating fuel systems with aircraft engines.

The relationship is in line with Tata Consultancy Services' overarching goal to utilize technology for beneficial social influence.


Alan Newby, Director, Research and Technology, Rolls-Royce, said, “We welcome TCS to our hydrogen research programme and their engineering skills will play a valuable role in addressing our technology goals.
