QarmaTek, a startup specializing in the renewal and refurbishing of electronics, has successfully raised $1 million (equivalent to Rs 8.3 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Umang Nahata, Rakesh Raman, and Vishal Makwana.
The funds will be utilized to develop into other sectors within the field of updated electronics, increase the volume of operations, and expand geographically.
Qarmatek has accumulated a cumulative fundraising amount of $4.11 million up till the present time. In 2021, it secured a round of $3 million from Gujarat Venture Finance, Caspian Debt, and other investors.

Qarmatek operates in the business-to-business (B2B) sector within the retail market segments, specializing in providing post-sale repair services for electronic items. The company provides a range of services including multi-brand repairs, refurbishments, call center operations, network and logistics support, as well as bespoke and predictive solutions for electronic devices such as smartphones, laptops, and home appliances from many manufacturers.
The company situated in Ahmedabad has the objective of promoting sustainability by prolonging the lifespan of electronic items through the process of renewal and refurbishing. This approach helps to decrease the amount of electronic trash and contributes to the establishment of a circular economy.
