Pristyn Care Acquires Digital Healthcare Platform Lybrate

Healthcare unicorn Pristyn Care has acquired doctor consultation platform Lybrate to entered into primary care and strengthen its delivery service.

Following this acquisition, Both companies will work towards merging their business operations in the coming days, the company said in a statement.

The company said that 150 of Lybrate’s employees will be included in Pristyn Care.

Founded in 2014 by Saurabh Arora, Lybrate is an online doctor consultation platform which helps patients connect to more than 300,000 certified doctors from across the country.

“Pristyn Care’s attributes resonate strongly with Lybrate, and given the nature of its business strongly complementing our offerings, it should allow building upon the strengths of each other”, said, Saurabh Arora, founder, Lybrate.

“With Pristyn Care’s focus on secondary healthcare and Lybrate’s robust network of large numbers of primary care doctors, the two could achieve tremendous synergies,” he added.

The Gurugram-based Pristyn Care was founded in 2018 by Harsimarbir Singh, Dr Vaibhav Kapoor and Dr Garima Sawhney, It performs advanced secondary care surgeries with the help of its network of over 800 hospitals and over 400 in-house super-specialty surgeons.

The company said its surgeons use the latest advanced medical technology, such as lasers, laparoscopy, microdebrider and LASIK, to treat more than 50 diseases at more than 200 clinics in 42 cities.

In September 2021, Pristyn Care had raised $96 million in its Series E funding round from Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global, and enter to unicorn club.
