Sova Solar Caps Landmark 2025 With 1.3 GW Capacity and Strong Revenue Growth

– Sova Solar, a leading innovator in high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, today announced a banner year of growth, innovation, and strategic advancements in 2025. Scaling its manufacturing prowess to a total capacity of 1.3 GW, the company shipped 245 MW of modules in FY 2025-26 while launching cutting-edge TOPCon-based products that set new benchmarks in performance and reliability. This remarkable progress underscores Sova Solar's commitment to powering India's renewable energy revolution, with a 58.06% year-over-year revenue growth and deepened partnerships with clients like NTPC, Solarworld, Rays Power Infra, NHPC, SJVN, and NLC, MAHAGENCO, GVREL

"2025 has been a pivotal year for Sova Solar, marked by unprecedented manufacturing achievements, quality enhancements, and market penetration," said Krishnendu Mukherjee, CEO at Sova Solar. "From expanding our product portfolio with high-wattage TOPCon modules to securing certifications and contributing to national schemes like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, we've not only met but exceeded our goals. As we look to 2026, our strategic roadmap, including a new cell plant in Odisha's Angul and ambitions for 3 GW capacity by 2028, positions us as a cornerstone of sustainable energy in India and beyond."

Manufacturing and Product Milestones: Scaling Innovation at GW Levels

Sova Solar's state-of-the-art facilities hit a landmark 1.3 GW total manufacturing capacity in 2025, reflecting aggressive investments in production infrastructure. The company produced and shipped 245 MW of modules in the ongoing FY 2025-26, demonstrating operational excellence and responsiveness to surging domestic demand.

Sova Solar introduced new product variants, including 580-600 WP TOPCon modules with M10/M10R cells and 615-625 WP TOPCon with G12R cells, catering to diverse applications from rooftop installations to utility-scale farms. A highlight was the launch of the groundbreaking 625W TOPCon G12R module in FY 2025-26, engineered for superior efficiency and durability in large-scale projects.

Quality remains at the forefront, with all modules maintaining rigorous certifications: IEC and BIS for G12R variants, alongside IEC and BIS standards for the full M10R + M10 lineup. These accreditations ensure Sova Solar's products meet global benchmarks, bolstering trust among EPCs, developers, and end-users.

Business and Market Momentum: 58% Growth and Strategic Alliances

Fuelled by India's booming solar sector, Sova Solar reported a robust 58.06% year-over-year revenue and volume growth, comparing FY 2024-25 against 2023-24. Sales diversified across segments, with EPC commanding 60% of the portfolio, followed by industrial at 20%, residential at 15%, and exports at 5%, highlighting the company's versatility in addressing varied market needs.

Key collaborations amplified this success, including supply agreements and project executions with industry giants such as NTPC, Solarworld, Rays Power Infra, NHPC, SJVN, NLC, MAHAGENCO & GVREL. These partnerships not only expanded Sova Solar's footprint in utility-scale and EPC projects but also aligned with national priorities under schemes like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, promoting affordable rooftop solar for millions of households.

Showcasing Excellence: Events, Awards, and Industry Engagement

Sova Solar made a strong presence at premier industry events in 2025, including EQ Solar Expo, MASMA, and RENEW, where interactive booths drew approximately 1,000-1,500 footfalls and generated high-quality leads. These engagements provided a platform to unveil new products, network with stakeholders, and gather insights for future innovations.

Crowning the year's visibility efforts, Sova Solar clinched accolades at the EQ Awards, recognizing its contributions to solar manufacturing excellence and sustainable practices. "Winning at EQ was a testament to our team's dedication," added Shrilekha Mukherjee, COO, Sova Solar. "It fuels our drive to push boundaries in efficiency and accessibility."

Technical Excellence and Process Innovation: Delivering Uncompromised Quality

In line with its quality-first ethos, Sova Solar maintained final quality rejection rates between 0.5% and 1%, achieved through comprehensive electroluminescence (EL) testing and defect monitoring across all panels. A standout process improvement this year was the integration of a frame fixer before lamination, which stabilizes glass positioning and drastically cuts rejections from cell breakage and shifting—enhancing yield and module integrity without reported dips in efficiency or uptime.

Strategic Roadmap: Building for a 3 GW Future

Looking ahead, Sova Solar is advancing its vision with a new cell manufacturing plant in Odisha's Angul, set to bolster vertical integration and cost efficiencies. Capacity expansion targets aim for 3 GW by 2028, as outlined in recent announcements, while continued involvement in government tenders and subsidies will accelerate adoption of clean energy solutions.

As 2025 draws to a close, Sova Solar stands stronger than ever, ready to illuminate India's path to net-zero with reliable, high-performance solar technology.
