Preimage, a cloud-based 3D reconstruction startup with headquarters in Bengaluru and the US, has received $1.7 million in seed funding from pi Ventures, Better Capital, Java Capital, and other angel investors.
The startup will use the additional funding to intensify product development, expand its staff across business areas, and create a strong go-to-market strategy for the drone-based imaging and measuring use case.
Founded in founded in 2020 by Ugam Kamat and Siddarth Jha, Preimage is a fast, scalable, and integrable 3D reconstruction platform that processes photos to generate high-quality 3D digital twins of real-world environments and assets.

“The market for the creation of 3D digital clones of real-world environments is gaining momentum across several businesses in different verticals. Preimage launched a beta version of its software earlier this year, engaging more than 200 business clients from small to large firms in the US, India, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Later this year, they will provide a 3D reconstruction platform that is open to everyone.

Preimage received $355K in pre-seed fundraising last year from Better Capital, Arka, and iSeed Ventures. This round was headed by Better Capital.
