Marathi-language online video streaming service The US-based private equity firm A & MA Capital USA has invested $5 million in Planet Marathi OTT.
According to a statement from the corporation, this deal represents one of the biggest investments made in the regional Indian entertainment market to date. Over the following two quarters, it anticipates increasing this first investment.
To further bolster its technological prowess, the site has teamed with media-tech company Dcafe.

The money will be used by Planet Marathi OTT, which offers a global platform exclusively for Marathi industry talent and tales, to fortify its technology infrastructure and content library.
The company was established three years ago and offers content in a variety of genres, such as comedy, romance, politics, family drama, thriller, crime, and satire. It claims to have the largest and most prestigious library of Marathi content on OTT platforms. Its well-known content includes Raanbaazaar and Goshta Eka Paithanichi.
