EdTech Unicorn Physics Wallah (PW) has entered the offline learning space with the launch of its first offline center PW Vidyapeeth in Kota, Rajasthan.
The offline center of Physicswallah will enroll students of class 11th and 12th who wish to prepare for JEE and NEET exams and the student-teacher ratio of each class will be 125:1, the company said in a statement.
The offline center will assist engineering and medical aspirants, providing them with a competitive and conducive learning environment with 24X7 doubt clearing facility.
Kota is known for its education hub and coaching center for students who want to make a career in engineering and medical field.
The Noida-based Physics Wallah was founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, It helps students to prepare for NEET and IIT JEE exams and other state exams.
The company claims that it has helped more than 10,000 students in the last two years in NEET and JEE exams.
“We chose Kota for many reasons. The city holds an unbreakable track record for assisting students in cracking various competitive entrance exams. It has gained the trust of every parent and aspirant when it comes to delivering the best education from the best teachers from across India. Moreover, it has an average literacy rate of 82.80%, which is higher than the average national percentage of 74.04%, as per the census of 2011”, said, Alakh Pandey, founder and CEO, PW.
“Since PW’s inception, we have strived to make education affordable and accessible for all. We will continue to focus on these two major aspects in the coming years as well. And opening a center in Kota demonstrates our seriousness in ensuring the same. In fact, it also shows our agile nature and how we can quickly adapt to new learning pedagogies to raise the quality of education by making it fun and engaging,” he added.
Recently its rivals BYJU’S and Unacademy also entered the offline centre.
The company also plans to come up with its educational content in nine local languages to connect 250 million students by 2025.
Earlier this month PW became a unicorn after it had raised $100 million in a Series A funding round from Westbridge and GSV Ventures.
