Philips, a Dutch multinational conglomerate, announced on Monday that Bharath Sesha has been appointed as the Managing Director for India, effective September 1.
Philips has issued an official press release announcing that Bharath will be responsible for the healthcare business in Gurugram and will also head the company's growth strategy in India. Furthermore, he will oversee Philips' operations in numerous critical locations throughout India.
Philips observed that Bharath Sesha, who assumes his new position with a profound comprehension of the Indian market, particularly in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, has over two decades of international experience. He possesses a robust foundation in operational excellence, business development, and strategic leadership.

He served as the managing director of Heubach Colorants India prior to his employment with Philips. Bharath has an MBA from ITM and a Master's in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Philips reported second-quarter results that exceeded expectations in July, which were primarily due to cost savings resulting from employment cuts. The Dutch medical device company's adjusted earnings before interest, tax, and amortization (Ebita) increased by 9.3% to 495 million euros ($537.4 million), surpassing analysts' expectations of 433 million euros.
