Aaron Ronnie Chatterji, a Duke University professor of business and public policy and former White House CHIPS coordinator, has been appointed OpenAI’s first Chief Economist.
Dr. Chatterji will be responsible for spearheading research on the impact of AI on economic growth and employment. This will encompass studying the global economic effects of developing AI infrastructure, analyzing long-term trends in the labor market, and finding ways to assist both current and future workers in leveraging the advantages of this technology.
