One Moto India, a premium 2-Wheeler EV in India has announced its partnership with Reliance General Insurance.
Post the partnership, Reliance General Insurance will exclusively offer motor insurance to all One Moto India customers, the company said in a press statement.
“We are strengthening the services and product portfolio from all the facets. We already announced the new manufacturing plant and investment plans in the pipeline”, said, Aditya Reddy, VP, Marketing & Sales, One Moto India.
The brand has targeted to manufacture at least 40,000 units in the first phase of the plant launch itself. It will also work to create charging and battery swapping infrastructure in line with the vision of the Government of India to achieve EV transformation in the country.
“The electric 2-wheelers penetration in India is expected to rise from 2 percent in FY21 to 10-15 percent by FY26. With such projections and growing demand, we see a great scope for us to be an enabler in the space”, said, Anand Singhi, Chief Distribution Officer, Reliance General Insurance.
Ever since the launch of the One Moto EV brand in India in November 2021, it has received an overwhelming response from EV buyers in India. The brand has been on an aggressive launch spree with the announcement of three electric scooters namely the Byka, Electa, and Commuta within a span of 3 months.
