[Funding News] Nurix AI Secures $27.5 Mn Funding from Accel, General Catalyst

Mukesh Bansal, the former president of Tata Digital and the founder of Myntra and Cultfit, has initiated a new artificial intelligence venture. He has secured $27.5 million in one of the largest seed investments from Accel and Silicon Valley fund General Catalyst.

Nurix AI, a new company that was incubated in Bansal’s startup incubator Meraki Labs, is developing custom AI agents for enterprise services such as sales and customer support in its initial use cases. The team currently consists of approximately 20 individuals.

Nurix AI has collaborated with five organizations to implement its proprietary human-like voice and reasoning capabilities, which have resulted in a 25-50% increase in cost and efficiency. He declined to disclose the names of the organizations that have implemented Nurix AI; however, he disclosed that they are located within the financial services sector.

Nurix AI is being introduced at a time when AI agents are being deployed across industries to perform specific tasks with the least amount of human intervention, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing cost.

Mukesh Bansal, said: “We need to establish a US presence as well. We are looking for acquisitions which can help turbocharge our operations there. Anything that helps in that direction, we will be super keen on that,”
