The Philippines-based agri-fisheries firm Mayani has received a strategic investment from Ninjacart, an agritech company.
To assist Mayani's creative thinking and expansion trajectory, Ninjacart will provide supply chain assistance and consultancy services in addition to finance as part of the agreement, as reported by Inc42.

Mayani directly sources fresh produce, seafood, and other agricultural products from over 139,000 organised smallholder farmers and fishermen and distributes them to 30,000+ retail customers and 230+ commercial stores.
Additionally, it said that Ninjacart will help Mayani with its expansion plans and work with the company to create a unified Asian agri-food supply network that will spur additional digital innovations targeted at solving Asia's difficult food basket.
