LILA Games, a F2P mobile game studio has raised $10 million in Series A funding round from Rainfall and included participation from BITKRAFT Ventures, Galaxy Interactive, Sequoia Capital, and KRAFTON Inc.

In this round, many investors also participated like Ryan Wyatt, CEO of Polygon Studios, Tanay Tayal, Co-founder and CEO of Moonfrog Labs, and Thomas Vu, producer of Arcane: League of Legends.

The company plans to use the funds to develop their first title and to further build out their Bangalore, India-based team.

“LILA Games aspires to build a different kind of organization with a culture that enables learning, focuses as much on organizational improvement as well as product improvement, and provides equal opportunities. We strongly believe that the emergence of India as an upcoming global leader in gaming, and its potential to develop best-in-class talent in the F2P gaming industry will give us long-term structural advantage”, said, Joseph Kim, CEO of LILA Games.

In November 2020, the gaming company also raised $2.8 million in its seed round to expand its hiring and establish its studio in India.

US-based Gaming studio LILA GAMES was founded in Aug 2020 by Joseph Kim, Paul Leydon, and Avinash Pandey, they have worked extensively in the gaming industry for the last 15 years.F2P mobile gaming studio aims to create a new type of organization focused on building highly emotive game products and creating opportunities for people to be their best selves.

LILA’s first game ‘BLACK’ will redefine the mobile shooter genre, which I can say with certainty and excitement while I witness the game coming together,” commented Jens Hilgers, Founding General Partner at BITKRAFT Ventures.

Earlier, top-grossing mobile game titles such as King of Avalon and Game of War have been launched by them. Their team is launching a highly social survival/looter game with many years of experience.
