[Funding alert] Mental Wellness Startup Sukoon Raises $15 mn From Lightrock India

Sukoon, a mental wellness platform, has raised $15 million in funding from Lightrock India, an investment firm.

Lightrock India has acquired a significant share in the firm as part of the agreement. Additionally, Sukoon's executive chairman will be Saleem Asaria, a partner of Lightrock India, while the startup's founders, Vidit and Kanishk, will have key leadership positions, as per reported by Inc42.

Sukoon is an online mental health startup that was established in the year 2020 by Vidit Bahri and Kanishk Gupta. The platform provides treatment for psychiatric and psychological issues.

“Sukoon, together with the existing ecosystem, capital and specialist expertise, national and global, can help create one of the leading mental health systems in the world. This investment is a first step towards realising our vision to build India’s first and largest therapeutic behavioural health platform,” said Saleem Asaria, partner of Lightrock India.

According to Sukoon, in order to give patients with individualised treatment plans, the company utilises a multi-disciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counsellors, and vocational therapists.
