Meesho Appoints Mohit Rajani as Chief Product Officer

Meesho, an e-commerce major, has appointed Mohit Rajani, a former Meta executive, as its chief product officer, just one month after fortifying its board with the appointment of four senior industry executives.

This is in response to Meesho’s efforts to expand its client base in the e-commerce sector.

Rajani will assume the responsibility of leading the Bengaluru-based company’s product organization, which includes the product management, design, and analytics departments, according to a statement from Meesho.

Rajani has previously held leadership positions at a number of global technology companies, such as Google, Carta, Instagram, and Meta.

He was responsible for the monetization initiative of Messenger at Meta. Additionally, he was a member of the core team at Instagram, which enabled him to introduce ads and business products, thereby extending the platform to over one million advertisers.

Rajani most recently oversaw a diverse product portfolio at Carta, where she led initiatives such as international expansion and the development of novel Generative AI-enabled products.

The company appointed four industry veterans to its board last month. These individuals include former JP Morgan chairman Kalpana Morparia for South and South East Asia, Hari S Bhartia, founder and co-chairman of Jubilant Bhartia Group, Surojit Chatterjee, founder and CEO of Ema Unlimited, and Rohit Bhagat, non-executive chairman of the board of PhonePe.
