Genetic testing company MedGenome has acquired Prognosis Laboratories. With this deal, which will help over 11,000 physicians in India, the company intends to expand its current network and reach a wider audience.
It claimed to have the largest selection of over 1,300 premium genetic tests for a variety of illnesses as well as an Indian genetic testing laboratory that has received CAP accreditation, as per reported BW Disrupt.

Among the financiers of MedGenome are Sequoia Capital, LeapFrog Investments, Novo Holdings, Sofina, HDFC, Emerge Ventures, Zodius Capital, and the International Finance Corporation.
Smita, Deepak, and Mayank Madan launched Prognosis Laboratories in 2013, a NABL-accredited, ICMR-approved, and AERB-certified lab. The company specializes in providing radiological, microbiological, and diagnostic services.
