Matrix Partners India Renamed DZ47

Matrix Partners, a venture capital firm based in the United States, has rebranded its Indian entity as Z47.

It also renamed its affiliate in China as MPC, and its US operations are expected to continue as Matrix, an early-stage venture capital fund with headquarters in Boston and San Francisco.

Later, Matrix increased the fund's objective size to $525 million after launching a $450 million fund. The fund has provided support to over a dozen ventures in the past year, including Neysa, InPrime, Krutrim SI Designs, Aampe, Atomic Work, Wootz.work, Stable Money, Grey Labs AI, and Scapia, among others.

This is the second-largest fund in India that has undergone a rebranding initiative.

The company announced in May 2023 that it would increase the size of its existing fund from $450 million to $525 million.
