A number of investors, angel investors, and social media celebrities have invested USD 2 million in Mainstreet Marketplace, an online platform for reselling footwear, and other fashion products from major international brands.
Among those that took part in the financing round were Deepinder Goyal’s First Lap LLP, Gruhas Proptech, a venture firm run by Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai of Zerodha, and Udaan Co-Founder Sujeet Kumar, as per reported by BW Disrupt.

The Mainstreet Marketplace is a customer-to-business-to-customer (C2B2C) marketplace that was established in 2017 by Vedant Lamba as a YouTube channel. It offers footwear and apparel from brands like Nike, Adidas, Crocs, Supreme, Dior, and others, and operates similarly to OLX or eBay.
This year, Lamba transformed the YouTube channel into an online platform, raising USD 125,000 in seed funding from angel investors like Kunal Shah of CRED.

The idea for Mainstreet came to us at the beginning of 2017 when they noticed that the sneaker culture in India had the potential to expand. Mainstreet Marketplace sells luxury apparel.
