[Funding News] KheloMore Secures $2 Mn in Pre-Series A Funding Round

KheloMore, a sports tech platform, has effectively secured $2 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. Rajdip Gupta, the designated partner of Clear Bridge Ventures LLP, and Ashwin Damera, the founder of the ed-tech unicorn Eruditus, oversaw the investment.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized by KheloMore to expand into additional cities, such as Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. The venture also plans to expand its mission of increasing the accessibility of sports throughout the nation by establishing a network of training centers.

KheloMore's objective is to increase the accessibility of sports to Indians by means of its online ticketing platform. It provides coaching services and connects users with sporting venues.

KheloMore intends to establish cricket academies throughout the country in addition to broadening its scope. These academies will collaborate with schools and other stakeholders to provide young aspiring cricketers with access to a comprehensive curriculum, certified instructors, AI-driven personal coaching plans, and organized match sessions. To improve its offerings, the organization has already formed partnerships with Cricket Victoria, Urbansports, and the All India Pickleball Association.

KheloMore is presently operational in numerous Indian cities, such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai. The platform has approximately 500,000 participants and collaborates with more than 1,500 coaches. It is in competition with other sports tech ventures, such as Hudle and Playo, in the pay-and-play vertical.
