The Indian Army has awarded a strategic contract to Johnnette Technologies Private Limited for the procurement of 150 state-of-the-art loitering munitions, marking a significant milestone in India’s defence autonomy under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The JM-1 shows the Indian Army’s dedication to using domestically produced, modern technologies to improve its operational capabilities. JM-1’s AI-based algorithm allows it to hit targets at over 18,000 ft.

With the delivery of their premier tactical fixed-wing drone, the Johnnette JF-2, for border surveillance missions in December 2023, Johnnette Technologies enjoyed more success with the Indian Army. This contract expands on that achievement.
