Amazon India is the e-commerce behemoth, is allegedly moving its headquarters to Bengaluru as part of a cost-cutting initiative.
The home office of the corporation which has been at World Trade Centre since its founding, will be relocated to a new location near Kempegowda International Airport, according to Mint's report.

One of the first corporate offices of Amazon India was the company's original headquarters, located in the World Trade Center. According to its website, Amazon owned 18 of the 30 floors in the trade center, which could house roughly 5,300 people.
According to the story, which cited two executives, Sattva has moved to a new office space that is less than a third of its current rent at the World Trade Centre and is only a 15-minute drive from the airport.
Additionally, it is anticipated that the move will be finished by April 2026.
The majority of multinational corporations and domestic startups have been implementing various cost-cutting strategies at the time of this development.
In an effort to control expenses, companies have been implementing many rounds of staff reduction for more than two years. Some players have also closed a few offices.
Indian firms including Kuku FM, Beepkart, and 1% Club have lately let go of staff in order to control costs.
Beepkart has also reduced the number of its stores by half as part of its cost-cutting efforts.
As part of a restructuring effort to improve operational efficiency and simplify operations, Nasdaq-listed SaaS giant freshworks said earlier this month that it will lay off 13% of its entire worldwide staff, or over 660 individuals.
