SarvaGram Secures Rs 565 Crore in a Series D Round Funding

The rural lending company SarvaGram is seeking to grow its credit business and has secured Rs 565 crore in a Series D investment round led by Peak XV Partners.

Temasek, TVS Capital, Elevar Equity, and Elevation Capital were among the current shareholders who participated in the round.

"The fundraise will boost our mission of putting more power in the hands of rural households by enhancing their access and ease them into a curated set of financial and productivity-enhancing solutions,” noted Utpal Isser, Co-founder and CEO, SarvaGram Solutions

SarvaGram intends to use the money to support its development and profitability trajectory. SarvaGram offers rural families financial services, insurance products, and farm mechanization services. 

"With over 25 years of experience each in serving the financial needs of rural, middle-income families in India, Utpal and Sameer have developed and scaled specialised products tailored for this segment. They are building SarvaGram with a unique, household-focused approach to bridge a critical gap in financial access," highlighted  Chinmaya Golecha, Principal, Peak XV.

According to the Pune-based business, its 150 outlets have serviced over 100,000 consumers in five states. With more than 70% of its portfolio backed by real estate as collateral, it has accumulated assets under management totaling over Rs 1,200 crore in loans.
