Lock screen platform Glance, the business-to-consumer unit of advertising tech unicorn InMobi, is planning to launch in the US as early as the next quarter according to The Economic Times.
The company also plans to launch its subsidiaries, live commerce platform Roposo and gaming platform Gambit, in the US market and other countries.
“US is a high ARPU (average revenue per user) market, but India is also high scale. From a revenue mix standpoint, I can hazard a guess that the US will be 30-35 percent of revenues”, said, Piyush Shah, President of Glance according to The Economic Times.
Currently, India accounts for 90 percent of the company’s revenue, with Indonesia being its second-largest market.
Mobile tech giant Apple recently announced that it will also introduce lock screen modification for its iPhone users. However, Glance's founder Naveen Tewari dismissed competition saying that the company is focusing on Android devices, which make up 70 per cent of the global smartphone market.
“Android is the leading OS (operating system) globally with close to 70 percent market share. In the US itself, Android has more than 45 percent market share; we have always targeted this substantial and highly lucrative market in the US,” Tiwari said.
“We are backed by Google, which owns the Android ecosystem, and we will continue to march ahead”, he added.
