India can become global drone hub Says PM Modi At Drone Mahotsav

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s biggest drone festival “Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022”, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The India Drone Festival is a two-day event to be held on May 27 and 28. More than 1600 delegates including government officials, foreign diplomats, officers of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and PSUs, private companies and drone startups are participating in this mahotsav.

More than 70 exhibitors will showcase various use cases of drones in the exhibition of Indian Drone Festival.

PM Modi digitally launched 150 Remote Pilot Certificates and said, “I got an opportunity to interact with Drone Engineers and Startups at the India Drone Festival. He was very happy to say, “Sir, it’s all ‘Made in India’”. “By virtue of our startup power, India is fast moving towards becoming the drone technology hub of the world.”

PM twitted that The enthusiasm that is being seen in India about drone technology is amazing. This energy is visible, it is a reflection of quantum boom in drone service and drone based industry in India. This shows the potential of the emerging large sector of employment generation in India.

They added that It was 8 years ago, when we started implementing new mantras of good governance in India. Following the path of Minimum Government, Maximum Governance, we have given priority to Ease of Life, Ease of Doing Business.

They further added,” During the earlier governments, technology was considered part of the problem, attempts were made to prove it as anti-poor. Due to this, there was an atmosphere of apathy regarding the use of technology in governance before 2014. The poor, the underprivileged, the middle class suffered the most.

Technology has advanced the separation of saturation, into last mile delivery. And I hope can achieve the goal moving forward in the future, they also added.

He address that,” Today, with the help of strong UPI framework developed by the country, lakhs of crores of rupees are being transferred directly to the bank accounts of the poor. Women, farmers, students are now getting help directly from the government.”

“PM Swamitva Yojana is an example of how drone technology is becoming the cornerstone of a huge revolution. Under this scheme, digital mapping of every property is being done for the first time in the villages of the country, digital property cards are being given to the people” he added.

In earlier times technology and its inventions were considered for the elite. Today we are making technology available to the public first, he also added. He added,” Till a few months back, there were a lot of restrictions on drones. We have removed most of the restrictions in a short span of time. We are also moving towards building a strong drone manufacturing ecosystem in India through schemes like PLI.”
