IIMA Ventures has Introduced an Accelerator Program Designed for Investing for the first

IIMA Ventures, previously known as IIMA-CIIE, has initiated an accelerator program specifically designed for individuals who are new to investing or lack experience in the field.

The Venture Investing Accelerator curriculum offered by IIMA aims to provide professionals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience required to excel as early-stage investors.

The program is specifically designed for those who are new to investing and those who have an interest in venture investment through family offices, micro VCs, or corporate venture offices.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) stated that the reason for floating the accelerator is to address the difficulties faced by novice investors and fund managers in identifying potential companies, handling investment portfolios, and ensuring profitable exits.

The announcement follows many months after IIMA Ventures expressed its backing for 14 startups from Indore as part of the inaugural Cohort of the Indore Smart City Accelerator program.

The cohort's objective was to mentor companies in creating business models and proposals that are essential for attracting public sector customers. It also aimed to help early-stage entrepreneurs develop solutions for urban local bodies (ULBs) in obtaining pilot projects to validate their products.
