So, know the inspiring story of a unicorn company CEO and founder. Initially, he didn’t have any plan for business so what thing led him towards an entrepreneurial journey this man built Rs 9000 Cr. company.

About Nirmit Parikh:

Meet Nirmit Parikh, the CEO and co-founder of Apna. Apna aims to connect people with opportunites. At the age of 7, he had built a digital clock circuit, and at 13, he started learning programming and working with robots. Nirmit grew up in a family of engineers—both his father and grandfather were engineers. He studied engineering at Nirma Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2009 and later earned an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

Initially, he had no plans to become an entrepreneur, but he always noticed problems and tried to solve them. This mindset led him to launch two startups during college. After these, he founded a third startup, which became a unicorn company in just 22 months.

Unveiling the Story Behind his college startups:

In 2006, Nirmit was in his second year of B.Tech. During that time, heavy floods in Surat caused a lot of damage. He realized that with proper use of technology, floods could be prevented and hydroelectricity power could be generated. This would not only help people but also create a good business. So, he started his first company, Incone Technologies, which made control systems for dam automation using artificial intelligence.

After 1 year of starting Incone, Nirmit launched another company, Cruxbot. Cruxbot was a platform that summarized large web pages. In 2011, Nirmit sold Cruxbot to an American edtech startup called Kno, which was later bought by Intel. This gave Nirmit the opportunity to move to the US, where he worked as the director of data analytics for Intel. Furthermore, he pursued an MBA from Stanford and got a job in Apple. However, soon he left his job.

Why the man left his job?

After completing an MBA, Parikh joined Apple’s product and strategy team for the iPhone in the US. However, he recognized a significant gap in India’s employment sector and decided to fill the gap by providing a solution. What issue motivated him?

Parikh noticed that “the problem he was working on was related to 96 percent of the country's population.” He realized that numerous companies needed to hire employees, while many job seekers were looking for employment, yet both parties are unable to connect with each-other.

This issue motivated him to create a platform for filling the gap between job seekers and hiring companies, enabling recruiters to connect with applicants from anywhere in the country. All the experiences, sparked an idea in his mind.
