Hyderabad-based Hesa, a rural technology startup has acquired Pune-based GullyBuy, a digital MarketTech platform.
With this acquisition, the startup said that it helps consumers buy products as compared to local/city merchants, Hesa will incorporate last mile sales more efficiently on its platform.
GullyBuy was founded in 2019 by Swati Deodhar and Shirish Deodhar, It offers unique technology that simplifies the local shopping experience through a digital marketplace that directly connects shoppers and stores in neighborhood (streets) across India.
The acquisition of GullyBuy will further strengthen Hesa’s presence in rural areas and empower village level entrepreneurs to manage a powerful last mile e-commerce capability so that end consumers can enjoy a faster, easier and simpler shopping experience.
