Healthtech startup MedPiper acquires MedWriter

Medpiper, a Y-Combinator and MeitY backed healthcare company has acquired MedWriter for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition is in line with MedPiper’s focus on helping healthcare practitioners better express themselves in the public domain, a statement said.

Bangalore-based MedPiper Founded in 2020 by Nitthin Chandran & Pranay Suyash, MedPiper Technologies is a Y-Combinator-S20 health-tech start-up that connects doctors and healthcare professionals (HCPs) with hospitals and healthcare organizations for duty vacancies, clinical assignments, and partnerships with pharma and manufacturers.

“It becomes more and more important for helping qualified doctors and healthcare researchers become creators and become a direct and important source of medical information for the public”, said Nitthin Chandran, CEO, and Co-founder, MedPiper.

MedWriter is a product designed and manufactured by Lonere Labs, a Bengaluru-based product lab run by Abhijit Katte.

With this acquisition, Abhijeet will now lead new product initiatives at MedPiper.

Already, more than 1,000 doctors and health care researchers have signed up to use MedWriter.

The main objective of MedPiper is to create a complete ecosystem of products and services connecting healthcare professionals and health institutions to improve the efficiency of the Indian healthcare ecosystem.
