Sexual health wellness and lifestyle brand Kindly has raised $3.5 Mn in its fresh funding round from Y Combinator, DG Daiwa, Olive Tree, Soma, Goodwater, and Gaingels.

Sexual health wellness and lifestyle brand Kindly has raised $3.5 Mn in its fresh funding round from Y Combinator, DG Daiwa, Olive Tree, Soma, Goodwater, and Gaingels.

The startup plans to use the funds to accelerate its growth and expand into domestic and international markets.

The Bengaluru-based Kindly (previously known as Janani.life) was founded in 2021 by Nilay Malhotra and Raj Garg, It provides end-to-end solutions for sperm health, sexual performance for men while addressing the problem of low libido, PCOS, irregular periods and menstrual pain in women.

Commenting on the fundraising, Nilay Malhotra, co-founder, and CEO of Kindly, said, “The funding will elevate us from a disruptor brand to a market leader in the lifestyle and sexual wellness market. With fresh product lines, a tech-enabled platform for easy access to our services, and our intention for global expansion, we are poised to enter the next phase of our growth.”

The startup plans to enter new categories to address more sexual health and lifestyle issues. In addition, it aims to grow its user base to 130 million and also launch a mobile-based app in the coming months.

Takeshi Kanamori, managing director of DG Daiwa Ventures, shares Mehrotra’s excitement about the business’s potential. “The wellness market has changed dramatically over the last year, and we believe the demand for at-home diagnostics will only continue to increase,” he says. “Kindly’s diagnostics-first model is well positioned for success, and we believe it has the potential to grow.”
