Healthtech startup Ayu Health has raised $21 mn in its Series B funding round from Nandan Nilekani’s Fundamentum Partnership.

The round also saw participation from Stellaris Venture Partners, Vertex Ventures, Waao Partners, Capier Investments, KhadimBatti, Ashish Gupta, Hemant Jodha, and Mamaearth’s Varun Alagh, Helion’s Ashish Gupta and EyeQ Hospitals’ RajatGoel, among others.

After this investment, Fundamentum Partnership will hold 17.91% stake in the startup.

With this funding, Ayu Health is valued at approximately $80 million.

Fundamentum led the round with Rs 76.2 crore, while existing investors Vertex, Stellaris and 57 Stars Meditech Holdings invested Rs 37 crore, Rs 20.8 crore and Rs 15.2 crore, respectively, according to Entracker.

The Bengaluru-based Ayu Health was founded in 2020 by Himesh Joshi, Arjit Gupta and Karan Gupta, At present, it has over 40 hospitals in Chandigarh and Bengaluru cities and has served over 100,000 patients.

Ayu Health claims that its proprietary technology allows hospitals to serve patients at lower costs and maintain high medical quality standards. In September 2021, Ayu Health had raised $6.3 million in Series A funding round from Singapore-headquartered Vertex Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners.
