Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the success of Startup India by announcing a notable increase in the number of government-recognized startups, from 450 in 2016 to over 100,000 today.
Goyal stated at the ‘Entrepreneurs Launchpad’ event that the world is currently looking at the opportunities present in India. He predicted that India will experience exponential growth by 2047 because its population’s average age is less than 30.

Piyush Goyal pointed out that the world is increasingly attracted to opportunities available in India and its diversity and economic growth. He emphasized that Indian STEM graduates are a global attraction.
He emphasised the government’s dedication to enhancing the lives of all 140 billion Indians through welfare programmes like power connection, digital connectivity, access to cooking gas, piped water supply, and improvements in health and education.

Goyal urged all citizens to work with a sense of duty and dedication toward the nation’s development. He commended the Entrepreneurship Launchpad for energizing and imparting knowledge to participants, fostering entrepreneurship growth.
In highlighting the international praise received during India’s G20 Presidency, Goyal stressed how it provided a platform for showcasing the advancements made in the country under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He emphasised the importance of setting and achieving high goals, encouraging self-respect, and building a bright future.
