Gan.ai, a video creation platform utilizing generative artificial intelligence, announced that it has secured $5.25 million in seed funding. Surge, Sequoia Capital India’s program for fast-growing startups, led the funding round.
Emergent Ventures and other angel investors took part in the round, as per reported by The Economic Times.
“We’re excited to grow our operations with the new funds, and expand our sales and engineering teams across US and India… We aim to increase our engineering talent from the current 15 to 25 to build a strong deep-learning team,” Bhooshan told ET.
Using Gan.ai’s video personalization software, renowned brands like Mumbai Indians and Swiggy can record a video once and incorporate dynamic keywords into a script. The platform then generates an extensive range of hyper-customized videos, reaching millions of variations. Additionally, enterprise clients utilize Gan.ai to develop personalized landing pages that deliver these videos to their intended audience.

Tejnoor Grover, senior manager of product marketing and growth at Mobile Premier League, said, “We record videos with influencers and celebrities, and now with Gan.ai when they call out your name and tell you to take a personalized call-to-action, the results are astounding. We saw a 5x increase in our video completion rate, a 3x increase in open rates, and a 1.5x increase in our click-through rate.”
