[Funding News] Vahan Secures $10 Mn Series B Funding Round

Vahan.ai, a blue-collar recruitment platform, has secured $10 million in its Series B funding round, which was led by Khosla Ventures.

The additional funds will be allocated to the advancement of AI recruitment technology that is compatible with eight of the most prevalent Indian languages. At present, Vahan’s AI recruiter conducts interviews in Hindi and English. Additionally, it intends to diversify into sectors including retail and manufacturing.

Also participating in the round were Y Combinator, Gaingels, a US-based venture capital firm, and Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the founder of Paytm.

The Bengaluru-based startup raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Khosla Ventures in September 2021. Vahan was a participant in Airtel’s Startup Accelerator Program, and the telecommunications company acquired an 8.82% stake in the Madhav Krishna-led organization in October 2019.

Vahan has reportedly recruited more than 500,000 laborers in over 480 cities since its inception in 2016, including top-tier companies such as Zomato, Swiggy, Flipkart, Zepto, Blinkit, Amazon, Rapido, and Uber.

Vahan decreases recruitment costs and turnaround times by recruiting more than 25,000 individuals each month.
