Olympian PV Sindhu has put money into The Hoop D2C wellness brand, which is his second investment in the Indian startup environment.
Hoop stated that Sindhu would also become a brand ambassador for the company, but he did not say how much he had invested.
Hoop was in the second group of Sequoia Spark fellows from Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India and Southeast Asia). In January 2023, it got a $100,000 grant with no strings attached, along with help from a tutor.

A number of well-known angel investors have put money into Hoop, including Abhinav Sinha, COO of OYO, Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy’s food store, Suhail Sameer, founder of Bombay Shaving Company, Shantanu Deshpande, founder of Dr. Vaidya’s, and others.
Hoop claims it has more than 50,000 users in more than 1,000 towns across the country. Hoop offers a range of natural products for topical pain relief, muscle recovery, and sleep support.
