A seed round led by Mumbai-based Prajay Advisors, Shivaan Ghai, and Romil Ratra from Mumbai’s Graviss Group has raised an undisclosed amount for Kaatil, a hot condiments brand of Smerc Food & Beverages that is concentrated on Indian chili.
Proceeds will be allocated to the expansion of its product line and presence through a variety of national and international distribution channels, such as e-commerce marketplaces, rapid commerce, and offline retail outlets.
Kaatil has recently claimed that it has received the Great Taste Award 2024 from the Guild of Fine Foods, U.K.
An independent B2B supply subsidiary is also being planned to serve restaurants, hotels, and cafés.

Kaatil offers a diverse selection of products across various categories, such as hot condiments, hot ketchups, and chilli oils derived from Indian chilies.
At the moment, Kaatil is accessible through its direct-to-consumer website (www.kaatil.in), Amazon, Big Basket, and Nature’s Basket, as well as in physical locations in Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad.
