[Funding News] Altern Capital Launches Rs 250 Cr Maiden Fund

With an emphasis on real estate investments, Altern Capital, an investment management firm, has introduced JIRAAF AU INDIA REAL ESTATE FUND - I, its first Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) with SEBI approval.

The fund's goal size is Rs 250 crore, with an extra Rs 100 crore greenshoe option. The fund is sponsored by AI Growth Private Limited under the labels "JIRAAF & ALTGRAAF."

JIRAAF I'll be applied to last-mile finance and planned development. With a four-year term, the fund will prioritise timely project completion, increased transparency, and investor returns and principal stability.

The creator of Altern Capital, Navin Dhanuka, has over 21 years of experience investing in real estate throughout India. He has held executive roles in reputable international and Indian companies like Piramal Capital, Walton Street Capital, and Ernst & Young.
